This motor with precision Jacobs chuck can accept 0.3 - 4mm drill bits or end mills. The speed can be adjusted from 5000 rpm (24v) to 8500 rpm (36v). The optimum operation input voltage is between 26 - 36Volt DC. The brushes can be replaced, and one set of extra brush is included in the package. It also come with the holding frames that you can easily put onto your CNC machine, hardware packet is also included.
The best of this motor is that it is super quiet during operation, even less noise than the stepper motors make. Pictures below show the spindle working on a block of aluminum.
All following items will be included in the package:
* One DC spindle motor with Jacobs chuck
* Chuck key
* One set of replacement brush
* Motor holding frames (4 pcs)
* Hardware packet (screws, washers and etc)

Customer Rating: Summary: Super Quite Runs Forever Comment: I purchased this motor to be used on my 3 axis cnc machine.. It is super quite, I can run it at night without waking the kids or my wife up... This little motor waaayyyy outperforms the dremel 300 I once had on the machine. It would take a $150.00 laminate router to outperform it, but you cannot run one of those at night without sound-proofing your house. I have been using it to carve pictures in wood very similar to the dog pic in the example. I have used it to cut through fiberglass sheets, plexi, etching glass, and just plain testing to see what I could get away with...
The jacobs chuck is press fit onto the motor shaft, so the first thing to do when you get this awesome motor is double check that its seated all the way.
All in all its totally worth the money and just to be able to use the machine after work into the early morning its worth having. I am very happy with mine.

Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect spindle motor for the Zen Toolworks CNC machines Comment: This is trivial to install, and is a very quiet motor.
I think anyone purchasing either of the Zen Toolworks CNC machines should get one of these to go with it.
